How does your garden grow…update

You may remember that we built a no -dig garden almost a month ago and planted it out with lettuces, capsicum, cucumber, tomatoes and some asian veggies. Thanks to the humid steamy weather, it is absolutely blooming along.

The bok choy is almost due to be harvested – which will hopefully make some more room for the lettuces to grow. We’ll have to start picking and using the basil and use more of the asian salad greens as they’re going beserk despite being picked every day. They’re absolutely delicious – Ruby and I are enjoying eating them straight from the garden bed. The boys find them too spicy.

And our lovely girls have been keeping up their laying throughout winter.

We get an egg from each of them most days.

  1. Oh I’m inspired. I want a garden like that in my front yard. Must get my garden expert over here to consult. Truthfully anything would look better than what is currently in my garden!

  2. looks fabulous Kirsten. I’d like similar one day. 🙂
    Cute girls!
