A lesson in fabric dyeing…

But I’m not going to give you weights and measurements. The first and most important step is to make sure you do it when the kids are elsewhere!

Ruby is at kindy today, and it’s just little Finn and myself at home. After organising a few little distractions for him, I thought I’d get a little bit of dyeing done and hide it out in the backyard corner to cure. Ah, who did I think I was kidding!

While I was rinsing out the containers I’d made up and applied the dye in  and was tidying up, guess what Finn was doing? Isn’t that a lovely shade of blue?!

And here’s my littlest monkey in a pair of pants I just finished him.

Silly mummy cut the fabric late at night, and didn’t realise she cut one side upside down.

They don’t like like fish normally do when they’re floating upside down!
