Yarning…

is what I did alot of in the last 4 days.

Yarning for several hours to people at a birthday party.

The birthday girl recived this from Ruby.

I spent a good deal of Friday dyeing these. They’re all wool fabric, some of which will be made into pads. The green multi coloured one is dyed entirely with food-safe dyes. I’m about to cut some of it up and see how well it’s colour holds out with washing. It might end up being overdyed if it doesn’t stand the test. The other 2 were dyed with acid dyes, and should keep their colour well.

And after a little excursion to Childers for Mother’s Day, we stopped on the way home after seeing a roadside sign to a little family run Angora farm that sells the most beautiful and soft mohair yarn. This is next on the knitting list for me.
